Turiyananda Bhawan -The Student Hostel

A student hostel for boys is run by the Ashram. The service is provided for the boys belonging to academic level from class IV to class X who do not have anyone to take care of their schooling. Hostel fees are waived partly or fully considering each individual applicant. At present, the hostel is running with fullest accomodation capacity of 12. Extension of the hostel building is on progress.


Free Coaching Centre

To trade with the ideals and ethics of Ramakrisna Mission, a free coaching centre for school students studying in secondary level is carried out.The school students are provided with necessary guide to their studies. Aiming at comprehensive learning, the Centre also endeavours to implant moral values and social responsibilities in these young minds.


Scholarships

Every year Scholarships are given to meritorious students belonging to the poor and backward sections of society. The service is conducted, with a preference to girls, to boost the aspirants with some help to their further studies.


Medical Camps

Medical Camps are organized every Sunday at RKM Sahudangi

On every Sunday morning a medical camp is organised at the dispensary of the Ashram. One of the Sundays of every month is marked for an eye-camp. Eminent doctors, general physicians and specialists, eagerly come forward to participate in this noble service and attend the patients with utmost care. An average of seventy needy patients per day are served by the facility of the Ashram.


Charitable Homeopathic-cum-Allopathic Dispensary

Homeopathy Dispensery at RKM Sahudangi

On the working days of medical camps, patients are provided with some of the allopathic medicines prescribed by the camp doctors.

Apart from this, twenty patients, on an average, come daily for treatment and collect homeopathic medicine from the dispensary.

The ideal of service followed in the Ramakrishna Movement is based on the principle 'Shiva Jnane Jiva Seva', to serve human as potentially Divine. Every philanthropic work of this Ashram is deemed as duty.

At present, twelve helpless needy families are served with full ration every month though many more are yet to be served.

On every important festive occasion clothes are distributed among the needy of the poverty stricken areas surrounding the Ashram. Also, during winter they are provided with blankets.
