Appeal
The Ramakrishna Mission at Sahudangi is functioning with effect from 27th November, 2022. Following the ethos and ideals of central Mission, viz, Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math, Howrah this Mission, in addition to spiritual activities, is engaged in various humanitarian and social services in the adjoining locality. This centre is situated, covering 20 acres approx, in lush green orchards having various rare plants. This centre may more specifically be described as Tapovan catering the spiritual needs of numerous devotees of the Ramakrishna movement in North Bengal
Earlier, This institution was founded by Swami Dhrubanandaji in the year 1959 and known as Sri Ramkrishna Vivekananda Ashram. All type of activities were organised / managed by a local committee till its taking over by the Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math.
At present, almost all the buildings/structures are in dilapidated condition owing to lack of proper maintenance which is implicitly paucity of fund. In addition, nitya Thakur Seva, Sadhu Seva etc require a considerable amount which solely depends on the generous contribution of devotees and well-wishers.
